Naked Dress - Tasteless one
Made by designer Adam Selman, Rihanna’s backless dress worn during the 2014 CFDA fashion awards comprised of 216,000 Swarovski crystals.It was Rose McGowan who started the trend with a chain number she wore for the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards. The risque dress, entirely made of intricate black beads, was as good as the ‘Emperor’s new cloth’, putting her entire body on display.
Flash-forward twenty-tens, fashion has become multidimensional, with curves taking up space in the mainstream. Beyonce, JLo, Kim Kardashian, the curvaceous sirens are embracing the power of their sexulaity by daring to bare, and the naked dress is their medium to assert the same in a tasteful way.
At the Met Gala this year, Queen Bey, JLo and Kim turned heads with their sheer apparel, that showed off their well proportioned figures.
